Who I Am
Anchor 1

I'm Alini Lucas, an integrative therapist and personal development facilitator.

I have always been driven by one restless question: to understand the essence of the human being and the real motivations behind what we do and feel. But it was life, and not just curiosity, that brought me to therapy.

After more than 15 years working in companies, most recently in Human Resources at a British company, I went through a burnout that forced me to stop and question the direction I had chosen. In the middle of that exhaustion, I understood something that reorganised my path: I wanted to work directly with people, helping each one to develop and to understand themselves better.

At the same time, I was closely following the journey of my daughter, who is neurodivergent. Each in our own way, we were living with one challenge in common: how difficult it was for the environments around us, whether at school or at work, to deal with mental health. Seeing those failings up close, and feeling them first-hand, made me look far more attentively at our human essence and at how much we still need to learn about caring for one another.

Welcome

It was this set of experiences, the inner movement that burnout set off in me, what I witnessed alongside my daughter and the gaps I found along the way, that put me on the path of studying the mind, the soul and the way everything connects inside each individual.

Today I turn that journey into my work: a space where other people can also understand themselves, develop and reorganise their own lives with more clarity and meaning.

How I Work

I don't offer ready-made answers. What I offer is a safe space for you to understand what is happening, recognise your patterns and build changes that hold up over time.

My approach is integrative: it considers the emotional, cognitive, behavioural and existential dimensions of your experience. In practice, this means bringing together four elements:

  • Therapeutic conversation, to give a name to what you feel and see it more clearly.

  • Practical philosophy, to reflect on meaning, values and the decisions that guide your life.

  • Concrete tools, so that change doesn't stay only in your awareness but shows up in everyday life.

  • Psychoeducation and emotional understanding

My practice is focused on emotional wellbeing and personal development, and where necessary the client will be referred to a doctor or clinical psychologist.

Ongoing Professional Development

Caring for someone takes more than knowing how to apply methods. It takes presence, discernment, maturity and an ethical commitment to the uniqueness of each person. That is why I keep investing in training that is not limited to technique, but that also contributes to developing the perspective, the responsibility and the values that guide my professional practice.
